Anti-war protestors grilled Hastings MP Michael Foster during a meeting on civil liberties.
Members of Hastings Against War organised the event, which was at the Friends Meeting House last Tuesday, to discuss a range of issues with the local MP.
After a brief introduction the audience was very vocal asking probing questions about what they saw as gradual erosion of the hard earned British freedoms.
ID Cards, CCTV, National Database Register, Control Orders and 42 days detention without charge came under attack.
The spirited meeting overrun its time but still left many questions unanswered. Mr Foster, who spoke in support of the Government's measures to prevent terrorism, identity fraud and illegal immigration, offered his monthly surgery as a proper place to continue discussions.
