Blaze at car showroom
Arsonists have caused more than £100,000 worth of damage to cars parked outside a showroom.
Two people were arrested after the fire outside St Leonards Motors, Churchwood Drive, at 1am on Saturday.
Four cars were burnt out in the blaze and two others were left damaged by the fire.
Rob Noble, of St Leonards Motors, said £100,000 of CCTV cameras were installed at the site last year.
"The CCTV monitoring company raised the alarm after the incident was caught on camera," he added. "A copy of the tape has been given to police.
"It seems that a Ford Escort was set on fire and flames spread to the other cars. The vehicles were all our own.
"Windscreens were smashed on some other cars and there was an attempted break-in.
"As well as the damage to vehicles, the end of the building was blackened - we were lucky the fire didn't spread there.
"We have had the odd break-in to the car park before so decided to get CCTV cameras. Now they're paying dividends.
"Police and fire crews responded quickly so we would like to thank them."
