One trapped in Staplecross crash

One of the main roads through Staplecross was closed for five hours on Sunday following a crash.
Three cars collided on Northiam Road just before 4.20pm.

Police and ambulance crews were called to the scene and the road was closed just before 4.50pm.

One person was trapped and had to be freed from a vehicle by firefighters using hydraulic cutting equipment.

Fire crews from Broad Oak, Rye and Tunbridge Wells attended the scene.

The road was eventually re-opened at 10.10pm.
