A dog with only three legs was named overall winner at the annual Greater Hollington COmmunity Dog Show.
Top dog Moses, who was entered by owner Paula Canon, was involved in an accident back in March which meant vets had to amputate one of the hounds back legs.

However, this didn't stop him taking top spot at the show last Saturday (May 10) as dozens of dogs and their owners flocked to the Four Courts Community Centre in Stonehouse Drive for the sixth such event.

The pooches competed in a number of classes, including Best Dressed Dog, Dog Most like its Owner, Dog the judge would like to take home and or course the coveted Best Dog.

Local councillor Keith Bing and former Greater Hollington Partnership manager Rachael Linton were guest judges at the show.

As well as Moses, winners included Greater Hollington's very own Police Community Support Office John Tucker with his dog Jake who won Best Dressed Dog after dressing up in a police t-shirt.

The day was organised by The Greater Hollington Partnership (GHP), a group which works with other agencies like the council, schools and the police, to improve conditions and community spirit on the estate.

Tracy Martin, the GHP's partnership manager, said: " We would like to thank all those who took part and look forward to our next annual event - the Greater Hollington Funday, which takes place on Friday August 22 at Hollington Recreation Ground."
