Five men have been arrested and bailed following a raid on the Robertsbridge travellers site on Saturday.
Three cannabis factories were found and around 200 plants with a street value of £10,000 were seized by officers.
Two samurai swords were also seized, as well as a firearm from one of the caravans
Around 75 officers, including dog handlers, swooped onto the site at 7am, with a simultaneous raid at an address in Chain Lane in Battle, which has been linked to the travellers site.
The investigation into offences will be conducted by the Rother CID office.
Rother district commander Chief Inspector Steve Brookman said: "I am very pleased with the result of this operation. Officers from across the force came together in a well conceived operation to take a positive stand against this criminality which has caused concern locally.
"Rother police have had some considerable success in tackling cannabis factories over the last few months.
"This positive action is only possible because of the support we have had from the community in Rother and surrounding areas in relation to the gaining of criminal intelligence.
"I would ask that anyone with similar information comes forward and helps us in the fight against drug dealing.
"East Sussex County Council have already started to make improvements to site management.
"I am keen, as I know they are, to carry on this good work."
