A MAN was arrested following a crash in Cross-in-Hand yesterday (Thursday).
A 42-year-old man from Waldron suffered serious, but not life-threatening injuries when his bicycle was in collision with a Ford Transit van at the junction with the B2102 and A267 just before 9am.

He was airlifted to Eastbourne District General Hospital by the Sussex Police helicopter.

The driver of the van was arrested on suspicion of careless or dangerous driving and was later bailed to return on October 26.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to the collision to contact PC Richard Trundle of the Polegate Road Policing Unit on 0845 60 70 999 quoting Operation Hartoft.
