A FRENZY of fun events hit a normally quiet village last week.
Alfriston opened up to visitors for its now famous annual festival. The Rude Mechanical Theatre had kicked off activities with a theatre performance on August 16.

Other festive highlights included a songs of praise, music by the Seaford Silver Band and a teddy bear's picnic.

A festival revue and a traditional village fair brought merriment to festival goers.

Dewy-eyed dogs in a family fun dog show also touched the hearts of many.
Isla Sitwell, festival committee chairman, said: 'It went extremely well.

'A lot of people came along and seemed to have a lot of fun.

'We had various things going on and had a great time.'
