TWO German students were kicked and spat at by a group of teenage girls.
The pair, aged 17, were walking through the Meridian Centre, Peacehaven, on Tuesday last week when three 13-14-year-old girls approached them.

They accused the students of laughing at them and one girl pulled a hair clip from one of the student's
hair, throwing it to the ground and treading on it.

The two youngsters, who had only arrived in Britain that day, ran away but were chased by the gang.

One of the girls kicked one of the students in the back and the other was spat at.

Police were called and the students described one of the girls as white with blonde hair, wearing a pink dress, and another as white with long brown hair, blonde highlights and dark clothing.

The group are believed to have left the scene on a bus shortly after the attack. Brighton and Hove Buses and Meridian Centre security have handed over CCTV footage which is bring reviewed.

Sergeant Robin Fuller, of Peacehaven police, said: 'This was a totally unnecessary incident where two foreign students were picked on for no reason.

'I am pleased to say this is a very rare occurrence in the Peacehaven area where there are a large number of foreign students residing in lodgings.'

Anyone with any information or remembers seeing the girls described should contact Sussex Police on 0845 60 70 999 quoting serial 1876 .
