A LEWES rock festival called Rock in the Bog ended in violence when a man was attacked and a vehicle damaged.
At around 4.14am on Sunday July 13, after the festival had finished, police received a number of calls about a disturbance at the festival site, Lower Field off Earwig Corner.

They arrived to find a man with a bloodied nose and a car nearby damaged.

A number of witnesses came forward and gave police information about a fight involving a group of people.

As a result a 20 year-old from Lewes was arrested on suspicion of assault and possession of an offensive weapon, a metal bar.

He has been since bailed to return to police custody on the August 13.
Police said they think there were a number of people involved and are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

Anyone with any information should call Sussex Police on 0845 6070999 and quote serial 387 or call crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
