UCKFIELD residents look set to get a new phone mast in spite of residents' objections.
Planners have pointed out 'prior approval is not required' for a Vodaphone mast and cabinet in Eastbourne Road.

There have been 47 separate objections to the scheme and a 67-signature petition.

Local people are concerned about health issues, siting in a built up area, unattractive and intrusive appearance and urge mobile phone operators to consider mast sharing.
