Giant hailstones fell during storms last night (Wednesday).
Stephen Pilfold, of Hawthorn Rise,Newhaven, took these pictures of the huge stones which fell during a thunderstorm just before 10pm.

He said: 'It was dry one minute and the next it was rain and then hail.

'They were massive hailstones, about one and a half centimetres.'
