OUR May meeting saw a good attendance with only three apologies for absence.
Wiltshire Farm Foods - Darren and Mark, the two sons, brought along five meals and five desserts for everyone to try. Darren gave an interesting and amusing talk and their very informative menus provided for all members, including special diets, diab
etic, ethnic etc. A CD for the registered blind was also available on request; also a large print order form. There is no minimum order and delivery days/times are easy to choose from.

The food was quickly cooked in the microwaves Darren and Mark had brought and the tasting started with much enthusiasm. At the end, chairman Des presented Darren and Mark with a bottle of wine each and thanked them for an excellent presentation, made with humour and knowledge of their family business.

As agreed at last month's meeting, all members signed the secretary's letter to the PM regarding the poor treatment of the Gurkhas which will now be posted to 10 Downing Street.

At the annual meeting on April 4, which marked the 70th anniversary of the ATS being formed in (September) 1938, it was announced that the Grand Reunion for 2009 will take place in Blackpool March 20-23.

Diaries for 2009 will be 'slimline' design and orders can be taken now. Also, fleeces are now available for the WRAC Association in Lovat Green with WRAC badge.

Next month's competition is a china animal.
