Bexhill Swimming Club - August 15

SUNDAY, July 20 saw the Bexhill annual sea race. 28 swimmers set off from the Clock Tower on the mile swim to the Colonnade and back. This year saw the men's record broken by Joseph Pellett, Rachel Garland came in first for the women.
All swimmers cut through the water and the whole event was finished in just under 30 minutes. Thanks goes to all who took part and organised the event and to the Hastings Lifeguards who supervised the race.

There was more good news for the Bexhill Swimming Club at the fifth Club Championship, where a number of personal bests were broken.
Outstanding achievement of the night went to James McGrath, in the boys beginners 25 metre race, he broke the 18 year record by 4.28 seconds, setting a new time of 19.62 seconds.
