"HANDING over our contribution of £1,225 to the Sussex Air Ambulance Appeal was very satisfying" said Pam Doodes, leader of the Christian Women's Fellowship which meets in Ninfield.
"Our members have really enjoyed fund raising for this worthwhile charity and have been busy organising coffee mornings, lunches, afternoon teas and attending boot fairs selling bric-a-brac."

Treasurer Ann Fish said: "We believe that fund-raising should be fun and in addition to enjoying our various events part of the excitement for me is counting and banking the proceeds."

Members of the CWF committee hold various social events in their homes and members of the fellowship are very supportive.

A number of members helped to man the stall at the Ninfield Carnival selling all sorts of bric-a-brac and ran the very successful children's corner.

The Christian Women's Fellowship, an inter-denominational group, meets on the second Wednesday of the month (excluding August) at 2.30pm in The Reading Room, Ninfield. Visitors are warmly welcomed.
