OUR June outing saw over 30 of us enjoying a day in Sheffield Park together with a ride on the Bluebell Railway.
After a good lunch in the station restaurant and then with time to look in the engine shed, museum and shop, we boarded our train.

As we went on our way we were served a delicious cream tea. Thanks are due to Jackie and Monika for all the arrangements and also to Darren, our regular coach driver, who always picks out the scenic routes.

In July we have a total day of freedom in Canterbury and in August are looking forward to a boat trip on the Allington Belle - with another cream tea!

At our monthly coffee mornings held at the Sailing Club, commencing 10am (fourth Tuesday of every month except December) we enjoy a chat and either a quiz, speaker or sales table, together with our customary excellent raffle.

If you are a retired civil servant who has yet to attend a coffee morning, please do come along and make yourself known and maybe book an outing.

We'll be delighted to welcome you.
