ON Saturday, July 12 the East Sussex Arts Club held a life drawing and painting class, with David Lapthorne as our model. Pat Thomas very kindly gave help and advice to those who needed it. It was greatly enjoyed by all who attended.
The painting competition entitled "Children at play" was won by Dennis Philpot.

The next meeting will be on Saturday, September 20 at St Johns Church Hall, Brittany Road, St Leonards, this will be a workshop by Keith Collins, in watercolours, and will start at 10.30am till 3.30pm. Please bring painting materials and lunch with you, tea and coffee can be obtained for 30p.

The competition theme for September is "Harvest Time". All members are invited to submit a painting in any medium of this theme. A small prize will be given to the winner.

A raffle will also be held in aid of club funds, if anyone has any items they wish to donate towards it.

Anyone wishing to join may do so at the meeting or telephone Mrs Betty Muffitt on 01424 434492 our membership secretary.
