The friends of Egerton Park are a voluntary organisation overseeing and aiding the lottery bid for the regeneration of Egerton Park and can learn from the fact that Battersea Park was one of the first Parks in the UK to be refurbished with the help of lottery funding.

The day to Battersea Park will consist of a late morning tour around the park with the parks manager. This is the 'Thrive garden project' it is designed to help disabled gardeners develop a well-being through the social and therapeutic nature of horticulture. A process achieved by active or passive involvement.'

Afternoon tea will be available at the family run Italian Park Cafe, La Gondola al Parco.
