WHAT a lovely Birthday Party!
On our birthday meeting on June 26 we had a very good turn out of members, together with invited members from other local Townswomen's Guilds.

The chairperson opened the meeting with the usual reports on social activities, coming events, treasurer
's report and reading of last month's minutes. We received numerous birthday cards, many from other local TWGs, and then the celebrating began!

We were all served with a selection of mouth watering gateaux with our coffee organised by Jill Halsall of course, who always provides and arranges our culinary needs with such panache - thank you Jill!

After the coffee break the Drama Group got into action and we were admirably entertained with some really scintillating entertainment. It was a great show and thoroughly appreciated by all the members and our invited guests alike. A great time was had by all! Well done Drama Group! Helen came along to play the piano for us and we all joined in the choruses from the 'hymn sheets' provided with great gusto!

The raffle was drawn and the meeting closed. Our next meeting will be on Thursday, July 24 at 9.45am - all are welcome!
