THE chairman who welcomed the members present opened the July meeting.
After a few announcements he introduced the afternoon's speaker who was from the local area ambulance service who went onto give an in-depth talk on how the service in this area was run. There were many questions at the end and the meeting gave their appreciation in the usual way. The refreshments were by the ladies of Hastings who were thanked by the chairman. The meeting ended with a raffle and bingo.

July's day trip was to the Spinnaker Tower at Gun Wharf Quay in Portsmouth that was enjoyed by all who went. The month ended with a luncheon in the garden of the secretary's house, this was a new event and was well supported on a sunny afternoon.
