THE chairman opened the April meeting and welcomed the members. After a few announcements on various days out he welcomed the speaker for the afternoon from the Health Improvement Team. The lady then gave a talk on how retired people could look after themselves with advice on various health and safety issues around the home and the members present gave their approval at the end in the usual manner.
The refreshments were provided by the ladies from Hastings and the chairman expressed the thanks from all present. There then followed the bingo and raffle. The April bowls afternoon was as competitive as ever with the two teams sharing a win each over the two games. The month concluded with a long weekend visit to Paris that was enjoyed by the members that went.

The next meeting is at St Peters hall, Bexhill on May 8 at 1.45pm when the speaker will be from the Citizens Advice Bureau.

The next bowls afternoon is on Thursday, June 5 at Ravenside at 2pm, all are welcome.
