OUR meeting on July 11 was very busy with the sales table theme of red, white and blue items and the Christmas (yes!) and birthday cards made by our craft section on sale. The new ramblers section has started with enthusiasm in spite of the walkers getting soaking wet on their first walk, that's English summer for you!
Our speaker was Brenda Wilson of the Shirley Leaf and Petal Company from Hastings. She showed examples of their work and told of the history of flower making. This company is unique and is much in demand by film, theatre, television companies as well as individuals. We have no meeting in August, however we plan to hold a "Tea at Three" party on behalf of St. Michael's Hospice on August 8 at the Sidley Community Centre from 2.30 to 4pm. Admission £2.00 to include a cream tea.

Meetings are held each month at 2.15pm at the Sidley Community Centre. Visitors and new members are welcome. For more details please ring the secretary on 01424 218076.
