Ale festival - more sponsors are needed

ORGANSERS of a new music and ale festival in Bexhill are appealing for more sponsors to help make the event a success.

Bexhll Rotary Club has already had some much-needed support from a number of sponsors for its Ale and Arty Real Ale and Music Festival, which takes place at the De La Warr Pavilion on the evening of Friday March 22 and lunchtime and evening on Saturday March 23.

To ensure the event’s total success, more sponsors are needed to allow the club to make the most of possible donations to a number of Rotary charities including Macmillan Cancer Support, Demelza House Care for Children and Kids Out.

Bexhill Rotarian Colin Stutely, one of the organisers, told the Observer this is a ‘great opportunity’ for sponsors to create ‘really good publicity’ for themselves as very crowds are expected to attend.

Not only will sponsors be featured in the official programme, they will also have their name at the entrance to the auditorium at the De La Warr Pavilion and have ale tasting vouchers presented to them as well.

The festival features a host of real ales including Franklins, Filo, Dark Star, Thornbridge, Pin Up, Brodies, Longman, South Downs, Hastings, Kent, Bedlam, Old Dairy, Kemptown, Bristol Beer Factory, Harvey’s, Hammerpot and Rother Valley.

On top of all this real ale nectar, there will be live music with Howlin Blues on the Friday evening, The Exiles on Saturday lunchtime and The Blue Monday Orchestra – Licensed to Swing are booked round things off in style on the Saturday evening.
