Christian Voices present Forgive and Forget to churches in Bexhill

MORE than 200 people came to see Christian Voices’ latest play, Forgive and Forget.

The musical drama group went to St Michael’s, Christchurch Methodist, United Reformed Church, St Mark’s and St Peter’s churches.

Rev Ian Wales, of Christchurch Methodist Church, said: “We were delighted to welcome Christian Voices to our church. As the new Methodist Minister here, I had never seen them before.

“They presented a story from the bible which reminded us that, as we have been forgiven so much by God, our Heavenly Father, we must learn to forgive things that seem small by comparison.

“Here indeed was a powerful message presented in music and words which if it were heard could transform our communities! I very much look forward to their next presentation.”

The play was Directed by Caroline Cox, of St Peter’s Church and the songs composed by Dave Chamberlin.

Alan Young, who wrote the play, said: “The group greatly appreciates the support of the churches and the all the people who came and saw the play. The stories from the Old and New Testament show different facets of everyday life.

“By retelling the story, we hope we can present these in a worthwhile and thought provoking way”.
