RESIDENTS at a Bexhill care home will be turning the pages of their favourite books and letting their imaginations run wild as they host special events to celebrate National Storytelling Week.

Grosvenor Park Nursing and Residential Home will be taking part in the event, whihch runs from January 26 to February 2.

Held annually, National Storytelling Week aims to encourage all areas of the community to take part in creating and enjoying storytelling, and increase awareness of how beneficial sharing stories can be.

Grosvenor Park Nursing and Residential Home has invited members of the community along to its Land Army Girls themed storytelling event, which will take place on Monday January 28, from 2.30pm.

Home manager Jackie O’Callaghan, said: “Storytelling is one of the most traditional forms of enjoyment for people of all ages. It allows our residents to liberate their imaginations and be transported to other worlds without even having to leave the comfort of their armchairs! We are looking forward to welcoming family members and members of the local community along - we really want as many people as possible to join us.”
