SCOUTS are traditionally known for being prepared, but members of the 1st Ninfield Scout Group were almost taken by surprise by the sheer numbers of people who turned up to their fund-raising jumble sale at the village’s Memorial Hall on Saturday.

“We had a terrific response, and as a result raised £1,100, “ said Beaver colony leader, Sandra Creasey. She added: “We’d like to thank everyone who gave and bought so generously, with a special thank you for those who actually helped to run the sale.”
