A GROUP of students from Bexhill High School attended the Southern School Book Awards presentation evening held at Roedean School in Brighton.

Last year’s winner, Jenny Valentine, was the host and the winner for this year was Malorie Blackman with Boys Don’t Cry.

This had been nominated as the second best book by the Bexhill High students. Their first choice, Tim Bowler, came second.

The students received book tokens - pictured - and they had photos taken with the authors.
