A rock band from Hastings is one step closer to realising their dream after winning a place in the final of a contest for unsigned bands.
Inseminate, who are made up of Joe Thompson (vocals), Tollef Rikje-Pearson (guitar), Max Thompson (bass) and Alex Burt (drums), sailed through the audition stages of Live and Unsigned 2010.

Having beaten competition from hundreds of other acts, the four-piece will now compete in a live show in Brighton in April for the chance to win a slot at the O2 in London.

The eventual winner will also be offered a record deal and investment of up to £30,000 to release a single.

Previous winners of the competition include Kiddo 360 who went on to pick up a Vodafone Live Award, B-Kay and Kazz who broke into the charts and last year's winners from Glasgow The Detours.

Inseminate's next gig in Hastings is at an all-day event at The Tubman on February 23, starting at 3pm.
