Westfield went top of Division Two in the Sussex County Football League following an entertaining victory on Saturday.
The Parishioners twice came from behind to win 4-3 at home to Storrington – their fifth success in five league outings, all on their own ground.

A spectacular strike from well outside the penalty area by Kristian Bridle gave the visitors a sixth minute lead only for Duncan Jones to level four minutes later.

Westfield probably should have been ahead by half time, but found themselves trailing again to a Chris Chivers strike on the hour amid strong appeals for offside.

Three goals in the space of seven minutes, however, turned the match on its head as Sam Jamison, Jones and Dominic Clarke put the home side firmly in command.

Storrington bagged a consolation with the last kick of the game, but it wasn't enough to stop the winning run of Jones and fellow joint manager Tony Harris continuing.

Elsewhere, Sidley United exited the FA Vase in first round qualifying when they were beaten 3-1 away to Combined Counties League outfit Dorking.

All the goals came during the last 20 minutes with the Surrey team opening up a three-goal cushion prior to Stuart Collier nabbing a late consolation.

Rye United were narrowly beaten 4-3 after extra-time in a dramatic Sussex County FA RUR Charity Cup first round tie at higher grade Shoreham.

Goals from Jono Richardson, Danny Woodley and Steve Johnson put Rye 3-1 up inside half-an-hour, but Shoreham equalised in the 90th minute and won it in the 116th.

United also had Johnson sent-off for the second consecutive match during the second half of normal time.

Bexhill United lost 3-2 away to Midhurst & Easebourne in Division Two despite strikes in the closing half-hour from David Harris and Andy Matthews.

Little Common went second in Division Three courtesy of a 4-2 victory at still pointless Ifield Edwards. Adie Kettyles, Stuart Weston, Dan Collins and Lewis Hole netted.
