Bexhill United, Sidley United and Westfield all performed well on a busy night of football action.
Bexhill were victorious in the league, while Sidley and Westfield came from behind to take higher grade opposition to replays in their respective cup ties.

Bexhill picked up their first win of the Sussex County Football League Division Two season at the fourth attempt courtesy of a 3-0 success at Wealden.

All the goals came during the second half despite United losing goalkeeper Will Toal to a groin injury at half time and defender Ben White having to take over the gloves.

Warren Parsons headed them in front on 57 minutes, Mark Funnell doubled their advantage in the 79th minute and Dave Carey completed the scoring three minutes later.

There was still time for Mark Munday to head against the crossbar and for Wealden captain Darren Gearing to be sent-off for dissent.

Westfield appeared to be heading out of the John O'Hara League Challenge Cup when they trailed Eastbourne United Association 2-0 with five minutes remaining.

But late goals from joint manager Duncan Jones and Dominic Clarke sent the second round clash into extra-time.

Hosts Eastbourne swiftly regained the lead only for Westfield to level almost immediately through Matt Dadswell as the game finished 3-3.

Sidley also found themselves 2-0 down in their John O'Hara League Challenge Cup first round trip to Hailsham Town.

But second half strikes by new signings Terry Payne and Chris Honey earned The Blues a second bite at the cherry.
