Adrian Gray had a decent run at the latest Professional Darts Corporation meeting in Canada on Sunday.
The St Leonards thrower, nicknamed The Conqueror, reached the quarter-finals of the Kitchener Open Players Championship.

Gray, 27th on the order of merit, opened up with comfortable victories over Dave Richardson (3-1), Stephane Rousseau (3-0) and 1994 World Matchplay Champion Larry Butler (3-0).

The 27-year-old then edged out Shawn Brenneman in a much-closer contest before going down 3-0 at the hands of an in-form Lionel Sams, who went on to reach the final.
