Hastings & Bexhill have been handed an away tie in the first round of a national rugby competition.
The William Parker Sports College-based club will travel to Basildon for its EDF Energy Senior Vase opener on Saturday September 6.

Basildon came fifth in London Four North East last season with eight wins and 10 defeats, while H&B propped up Lond
on Four South East with six victories and 12 losses.

Steve McManus' side will host Haywards Heath II, meanwhile, in round one of the Sussex Trophy on Saturday November 22.

Rye will now be on home soil in round one of the Sussex Shield following a change to the draw.

Sussex Division One outfit Rye will entertain Sussex University on November 22 for a place in the quarter-finals.

The New Roaders were originally due to visit Pulborough, but the draw was amended due to the omission of the students.

Robertsbridge will have to make the long journey to Midhurst in round one of the lower grade Sussex Plate on November 22.

St Leonards-based Cinque Ports will go to Sussex Police in the first round of the EDF Energy Junior Vase on September 6.

Sussex Division Three East outfit Ports will entertain Littlehampton in round one of the Sussex Plate on November 22.
