Iden clinch first ever league title

Iden are celebrating their first ever East Sussex Cricket League title victory following Saturday's washout.
The village club finished 16 points of 2007 winners Crowhurst Park after both teams had their respective fixtures abandoned without a ball being bowled.
The turning point in the season came two weeks ago when Iden recovered from a poor start to their innings to beat Park by six wickets and go two points clear.
They extended that advantage the following weekend when they chalked up a 50-run victory over Fletching and Park were held to a draw by Rottingdean.
Several players made key contributions to Iden's success over the course of the campaign, notably captain David White with four centuries, the last of which was against Fletching.
The wet weather helped ensure Rye consolidated their Division One status following their promotion last year as they wound up fourth-from-bottom.
There was no action either in Division Two which meant that Battle bagged the second promotion spot, and Robertsbridge and Herstmonceux went down.
It was heartbreak for Pett in Division Three, however, after a last minute points deduction saw them demoted from joint top to fifth.
Pett won their last eight completed matches, but were docked 30 points plus the 30 earned against Hailsham for fielding an ineligible player. They are appealing the decision.
