Lashings star at Horntye

The Lashings World XI showed its international quality by winning the 1066 Sporting Club Cricket Challenge today.
Lashings overcame Bexhill and Hastings Priory on a terrific day of Twenty20 action at Horntye Park Sports Complex.
After the storms of last night, Lashings opened proceedings with victory over Sussex League Division Two promotion hopefuls Bexhill on a rather grey morning.
The sun came out in the early afternoon as Sussex League Premier Division leaders Priory sneaked past Bexhill to set up a decider against Lashings.
In now glorious conditions and with the crowd having built up nicely, Lashings saw off Hastings in relatively comfortable fashion.
Priory skipper Jason Finch was named 'man of the final', however, for his hard-hit 41 at the top of the order, which included a straight six off Alan Mullally.
Lashings' squad also included the likes of Brendan Taylor, Dinesh Mongia, Aravinda de Silva, Herschelle Gibbs, John Emburey, Chris Harris, Henry Olonga and Rashid Latif.
