Park maintain lead after derby draw

Crowhurst Park have consolidated their lead in the top flight of the East Sussex Cricket League.
Park's latest Division One match ended in a draw at Rye on Saturday with the visitors scoring 197-9 batting first and their sixth-placed opponents reaching 187-8 in reply.

The Telham club, winners of the Hastings & District Cricket Association-run
Gordon Busbridge Trophy last Wednesday, is 20 points clear with five games remaining.

Second-placed Iden were beaten by fourth-placed Barcombe after being bowled out for 153 in reply to 193-8.

Next Saturday, Park will entertain Willingdon, Rye will go to Fletching and Iden will travel to Rottingdean.

Battle slipped to fourth in Division Two having been bowled out for 101 after opponents Newhaven rattled up 228-6.

Second-bottom Robertsbridge held on for a draw against St Peter's and rock-bottom Herstmonceux lost by 44 runs to leaders Heathfield Park.

Pett moved up to second in Division Three – four points behind leaders Polegate & Stone Cross – following a thrilling five-run victory over third-placed Hailsham.

Standings (all played 13 matches) – Division 1: Crowhurst Park 294pts, Iden 274, Ringmer 257, Barcombe 254, Willingdon 237, Rye 231, Fletching 224, Ditchling 211, Rottingdean 204, Tunbridge Wells Borderers 152.
