John Lambert will be asking his players to pick up the pace of the Ryman Premier after a miserable opening week to the season.
Hastings United are still searching for their first points after an opening day 2-1 defeat at home to Ashford Town (Middlesex) was followed by a 2-0 loss away to Boreham Wood on Tuesday night.

"We are a little bit off the pace, we need to speed it up all round the pitch," he said. "I still think the team is good enough, I just feel it needs a little more time than I thought."

It is hoped that Danny Spice and Paddy Cody will be available today (Saturday) for the trip to Dartford who like Hastings have yet to chalk up a point after going down at the hands of Hendon (3-0) and Dover Athletic (2-0).

Central defender Nathan Russell isn't likely to return until the Bank Holiday Monday clash at home to Maidstone United (3pm) at the earliest.

Elsewhere today, Westfield will take on Peacehaven & Telscombe in Division Two of the Sussex County League. Kick-off at The Parish Field is 2pm.

In the same division, Bexhill United will travel to Seaford Town, Rye United will go Crawley Down and Sidley United are away to Southwick.

Little Common will host Rottingdean Village in Division Three. Kick-off at The Recreation Ground is 3pm.

In cricket, Hastings Priory are on their free week and will be hoping that Brighton & Hove can do them a favour by beating their Premier Division title rivals Preston Nomads.

Bexhill badly need a win at home to St James' Montefiore in their quest for promotion from Division Two. Play will get under way from 12.30pm at The Polegrove. Already-relegated Sidley go to Pulborough.

The top two in the East Sussex League will meet at Telham when Crowhurst Park and Iden go head-to-head. Play will start at 1pm.

And finally the Hastings Regatta - featuring rowing teams from across Sussex and Kent - is due to get under way at 12.30pm.
