Yolanda King has been invited to the British Olympics TTA observation/assessment camp from August 5-14.
The 14-year-old, who has just left Claremont School, has been warned that it is going to be a very tough and important camp.

Bexhillians and Weald TTC ace King has been given an intensive physical fitness programme to prepare for her trip to Lilleshall National Sports Centre, Shropshire.

Britain has had three levels of Olympic table tennis squads, starting with the Development Squad of players with the potential to reach medal-winning standard by 2012.

Then there was the Talent Identification Squad of players with the potential to participate in the 2012 Olympics.

And finally there was the Observation Squad, of which King was a member, featuring players with the potential to get into the Talent ID squad.

It has now been decided to drop the Observation Squad, but increase the number of players in the Development and Talent ID Squads. Next month's camp will decide who will be in these squads.
