SCOUTS whose centre was hit by an arson attack a year ago stage their annual Duck Fair to raise funds on Saturday July 11.
Attractions laid on by the 5th Burgess Hill (Worlds End) Scout group include a marching band, arena events, hot snacks, traditional stalls, bouncy castle and licensed bar.
The fair will be at Worlds End Recreation Ground, Janes Lane in Burgess Hill from noon to 4pm.
The fire at the scouts Gordon Road headquarters left the Scouts with a bill of between £10,000 and £20,000.
The blaze destroyed most of the front of the hut, the electrics and water supplies.
Since then the scouts have received several donations and help from local bodies, parents and ex-scouts to bring the hut up to a good condition for the children to use.
The group, which has to pay about £3,500 a year in insurance alone, was able to continue after the blaze by hiring another hall for its sessions.
The arsonist, a girl of 15, was fined £250 after being prosecuted for the attack last summer.
