A COUNCIL chief executive and the Co-Op foodstore in Haywards Heath have pledged their support for the town's new business association which is due to be launched on July 22.
Foodstore manager Mark Charman said: "As newcomers to the town, we're keen to be part of the new association. All businesses in Haywards Heath will surely benefit if we can work together to promote the wellbeing of the local economy and make our contribution to its future."

Mid Sussex District Chief Executive, John Jory, has also added his weight to the organisation: "It will be very helpful to us to have a body with which we can work on the important issues related to the local economy as well as be part of the process which looks to take Haywards Heath forward."

The Haywards Heath and District Business Association's (HHDBA) steering group is delighted to add the Southern Co-Op to the growing ranks of companies supporting it, but association member Ruth de Mierre says: "We're still keen to hear from any business who would like to attend the launch. Do call me on 01444 453399."

The launch is being held at 6pm on July 22 at Haywards Heath town hall. Mid-Sussex MP Nicholas Soames will be the guest speaker.

At the launch, the findings of a survey, on entrepreneurs' concerns and views on the main challenges ahead, will be revealed. If you would like to take part in the survey by completing a questionnaire please contact Ruth de Mierre.
