A cheque for £500 was presented to Bexhill Football club's under-18 section by PC Perry Puddefoot of Sussex Police.
The money was handed over to the youth section's secretary Tracy Aston.

PC Puddefoot said: "The money has been donated from the Sussex Police property act fund, and this will be used to promote football to under 18's, and also to provide a facility for teenagers to use."

Tracy commented: "It will be used to provide training equipment...The aim is to improve the links between the senior team and the youth section, and to provide a recreational facility for all to be involved in."

Inspector James Scott added: "I am pleased that this money is going to be used by a local organisation, to provide a facilities for the under 18's in Bexhill."
