A play of the autobiographical book written by Hastings alcoholic Brian Harding will be performed at the Sussex Rooms of the White Rock theatre.
Down Bottle Alley, written by Tom O'Brien, and directed by John Dunne is based on My Wretched Alcoholism: This damned Puppeteer by Mr Harding.

The play was first performed as a rehearsed reading at the London Irish Centre in November, after Mr O'Brien purchased Mr Harding's book and thought it deserved a wider audience.

Mr Dunne said: "If this play will do anything, it will raise awareness of a vital issue."

The play will be performed on April 9 from 8pm. For tickets call the box office on 01424 462280.

To offer the play to hard-to-reach groups who would not have the money to pay for a performance, the production team is seeking funding to support further productions

For further information contact John Dunne 0207 226 0524 or got to www.croftproductions.com.
