Dogs help the scouts
CANINE fun for all the family was held in aid of local scouts on Saturday.
A family dog show was held on the site of the former 9th Bexhill Scout Group hut in Wainwright Road.
The hut burnt down in a fire last year, and funds are being raised to replace the facility.
The show, featuring a strong line up of dogs, raised £148.
Highlights included the fancy dress, with animals dressed as everything from Mickey Mouse to cowboys.
Best rescue dog was won by, 'Hamish' a mastiff cross owned by Rosanna Lear.
Collie-cross, 'Jade' collected the most points.
Best in show was won by 'Shaddow' a popular German Shepherd. Reserve was 'Alfie' owned by Chloe Smith.
Raffle prizes were donated by Ye Olde Chocolate Shoppe, H and H Confectionary, Wobbly Rabbit, Cats Whiskers, Warburtons and the Claremont Veterinary Centre.
