DOROTHY Marchant Florists certainly know how to say it with flowers and recently ran a competition where the lucky winner, Wendy Gorham, won a bouquet of flowers every month for a year.
Claire Paine, manager of the Western Road florists said they'd had a good response to the competition, which they ran for a month, and that it was organised to "create a good atmosphere in the shop."

Winner Wendy, who will receive a bouquet delivered to her door, every month for a year (each valued at £30) said she was thrilled to have won.

Wendy, who lives in Bexhill, said: "I love flowers. I was at work when I opened up the email saying I'd won. I'm really delighted; to have flowers for a year is wonderful."

She added: "Flowers are the ideal prize, it's made my day though my husband thinks this is going to let him off the hook!"

Claire said as the competition was such a success they plan to run similar ones in the future.
