ANYONE with a bright idea for an invention or business idea might like to pop along to Gaby Hardwicke solicitors in Bexhill or Hasting, as they have been asked by the BBC to help find inventors for the new series of The Dragon's Den.
The Dragon's Den is a series that invites anyone who is looking for investment, either for a business or invention, to pitch their ideas to a panel of successful millionaire entrepeneurs.
The panel, or 'Dragons', then decide whether or not to inv
est in the person's idea, or alternatively, if they think the idea is rubbish, to say so with a few choice words.
The BBC approached Gaby Hardwicke solicitors to help them in their search for contestants for the next series as the firm has a 'specialist intelectual property team', which specialises in copywrite, patents and tradmarks.
Speaking on behalf of Gaby Hardwicke, Partner and Head of Commercial Services David Getty - a former President of Bexhill's Chamber of Commerce - said: "We are pleased to have been asked by the BBC to assist in the search for investors for the sixth series of The Dragons Den. Anyone seeking investment to develop their business idea should contact us if they are feeling brave enough to pitch their idea to the Dragons!"
The BBC's economic editor Evan Davis offers some advice for would-be entrepeneurs, his 'pitching guide' is: "Understand the weaknesses in your pitch before the investors point them out."
