ROTHER Children's centre at Egerton Park held a special Games in the park for Dads event on Saturday.
Manager of the centre, Jo Goldfinch, said the new venture offers support to the man of the family, helping them to build on their relationships with their children, she said: "It's aimed at encouraging dads and male carers to become more actively involved in child care and although the children's activities are mainly aimed at the under fives all are welcome."

There's plenty to keep both dad's and kids entertained with indoor and outdoor activities including rounders, football, ten pin bowling, art and creative activities, and a healthy brunch - all for just a £1 donation.

Jo said it's planned that the event will be a regular occurrence at the park and is currently being held on the third Saturday of each month between 10am -12 noon.
