FASHION students from Sussex Downs College, Eastbourne, working for an Art and Design BTEC National Diploma are exhibiting their work in the costume gallery at Bexhill Museum from now until the end of September.
The collection, simply called "White", is made from recycled materials like old hospital sheeting and carrier bags.

Students were asked to explore and exploit the properties of the discarded materials and come up with innovative fashion and textile designs.

Fashion tutor Theresa Parker said: "This is a really good opportunity for the students to show what they have made to a wider audience. They explored new stitch and surface manipulation techniques, mixed media weave and print to come up with the exhibition content. The garments were worn for photo-shoots and a catwalk show."

Bexhill Museum is in Egerton Road, and opens Tuesday to Friday 10am to 5pm, weekends from 11am.
