THERE may be a recession on at the moment but there appeared to be little sign of it in Bexhill this week, with two new businesses opening in Devonshire Road.
Along with the opening of the new Iceland store, Poppins, which is part of a national chain of restaurants, also opened it's doors.

Situated in what was formerly Gamleys toy store, manager of Bexhill's newest eatery, Nurettin Yorulmaz feels the restaurant is a good addition to the town, offering an extensive breakfast and lunch menu with a wide range of desserts and lighter bites for the smaller appetite.

He said: "This is the first Poppins restaurant in the area and I think it will be good for Bexhill."
