The weather was kind to the organisers of the Bexhill 100 Easter bonnet parade and they were also helped by some very welcome national news coverage.
Lynn Brailsford told the Observer: “During the day there was no rain and only a little breeze, which did not threaten the wonderful Easter displays which the members of Bexhill 100 Motoring Club made for their annual Easter Bonnet classic car seafront show.
“I am told that the Daily Mail gave the show a mention during the week, telling people about ‘Things to do in the South East’ during the Easter weekend.
“And that coupled with the excellent weather gave us a great turn out.
“We would like to pass on a big thank you to Stella at The Old Bathing Hut, for supporting us, and for the wonderful Easter Bonnet which was on the roof!
“The next planned event is the Anglo/Continental Street Market, which is due to take place on the weekend of the 16th and 17th May.”
