The Sara Lee Trust has been named as the main beneficiary for this year’s Ale and Arty beer and music festival.

The festival is organised each year by Bexhill Rotary Club and takes place at The De La Warr Pavilion at Bexhill on March 17 and 18.

As well as a wide selection of real ales, craft beers and ciders, there is live music from The Do Theys and The Chandeliers on Friday 17 and The Cavaliers on the evening on Saturday 18.

The Saturday afternoon session will also feature a Battle of the Bands event, featuring young local talent.

The Sara Lee Trust is a registered charity set up in Hastings and Rother in memory of local woman Sara Lee who tragically died, aged 32, from cancer.

“It was Sara’s vision, as a result of using complementary therapies during her two years battle with cancer, that a Trust be set up to provide therapies free of charge to people living through cancer and other threatening illnesses.

Over the years, the range of support provided by the Trust has grown and it is now establishing a specialist Therapy Centre in Sidley.

Entry to the Festival is £7.50 for each of the evening sessions on Friday March 17 and Saturday 18. Saturday lunchtime for ‘Battle of the Bands’ is £4 and there is a special offer of £12 for both the evening sessions.

You can book in person at the De La Warr Pavilion, through their website or by calling 01424 229111.

Tickets are also available, along with more details, from the beer festival website at www.bexhillbeerfestival.com.
