The event is the sanctuary’s main fundraiser and the support of the local community along with those who visit from further afield is vital to help keep the registered charity, which is situated at Pipzedene, Freezeland Lane, Bexhill doing it’s essential work. It is a nonprofit making charity rehoming or providing permanent refuge for abused, abandoned and unwanted animals.

The Open Day gives visitors the opportunity to visit all the animals and birds who have been offered a safe haven by Barby Keel and her hard-working team who are mainly volunteers.
