Bexhill Environmental Group (BEG) is organising a beach clean tomorrow (Saturday February 24) and invite volunteers to give them a hand 10am-12noon.
BEG member Joe Conneally said: “During the winter months the combination of strong winds and high tides has resulted in a large variety of rubbish landing on our Bexhill Beaches which is a hazard to marine life and to those enjoying our wonderful coast.
“We provide gloves, grabbers, buckets, from our sponsors Cooden Beach Hotel and B&Q Bexhill, a warm welcome, and a hot drink when you return, courtesy of the Little Common Co-op.”
BEG undertake beach cleaning once a month during the winter months, a period when Rother District Council do not provide this service. If you can help meet on the prom, by the toilets at the junction De La Warr Road and the Bupa home in Brookfield Road.
